Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
ReplyDeleteAlthough I have not seen this movie yet, I am sure that nobody will regret to see this.
This story is based in the homonymous book by Ranssom Riggs. Miss Peregrine´s home for peculiar children is a great story about James, he is a child who reaches the abandoned orphanage and finds that the peculiar children (with those incredible stories) are real.
I really like this kind of movie with this mix between magic and action. And in this case, the movie have a really amazing cast, I love Eva Green, who represent the character of Miss Peregrine, I have seen act in the film "The Golden Compass" which I also loved.
Finally, I do not have doubt, but the story is known, indeed it was the best-selling stories in New York, but, althought, I am 100% sure Tim burton could surprise as ever, as he puts the story he´s own charm.
The movie that I will be analyzing is Deepwater Horizon.
ReplyDeleteThe movie is set on a drilling rig of oil which seems to be a huge project located in Mexico. The protagonist Mike Williams, who is a chief electronics technician, is just normal person who works there. This work is very far from the city so he needs to stay away from his family while he is working, because of this situation the only way to communicate is via internet. One day, suddenly the pressure from the pipes from the machines went up and caused an accident igniting a huge fireball which killed a lot of workers and Mike fights for his life and also tries to rescue his co-workers.
In my opinion, I feel pretty excited to watch this movie for two reasons. The first one is because the survival plot is one of my favorites because I enjoy to watch how the actors deal with stress situations. The second one is how the protagonist need to take decisions about rescuing someone or just go alone by himself, I really like how they develop their psychological aspect.
Well, the main actor is Mark Wahlberg. I watched his performance in "Planet of the Apes" and also "Ted" and they were really good, especially "Ted" which I watched it the last week. In addition he had been nominated to the Academy Awards for "Best Supporting Actor" but sadly he didn't win that time back in 2010.
Personally, I highly recommend this movie because I think it will have a lot of making decision situations which make it pretty stressful for the movie. Moreover, It have a two different points of view of this situations, the protagonist positions which need to survive and rescue people from the drilling rig and also the family situation who watch the news about the accident so they also need to deal with this hard situation. To sum up, I expect a good deal of stress in this movie.
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is a film based on the novel of the same name by Ransom Riggs. The film tells the story about Jake, a teenager that starts a trip to an island in Wales. This is the same place where are located the stories of his demented grandfather. Jake discovers that The Home for Peculiar Children (monsters and kids with supernatural powers) is real and that his grandfather was not crazy.
ReplyDeleteI went to watch this movie because I love Burton's movies, but definitely this is not his better film.
The cast of the movie is perfect, especially all the peculiar children, like the twins. But Samuel L. Jackson’s character is unconvincing and is very stupid considering that is the antagonist. This kind of things can ruin a good story.
This movie is very boring, such as all Burton’s movies. This movie it’s only reserved for those who appreciate such kind of works with complex plot and surreal scenarios. Personally I do not recommend this movie for who need start meeting Burton's works. If you need do this, maybe you could start with Batman and Ed Wood.
Sully is a film based on the case of Flight 1549 US Airways, tells the story of pilot Chesley Sullenberger, who had to maneuver the plane to land on water in the Hudson River, saving the lives of the 155 passengers who were on the plane.
ReplyDeleteI am very excited to see this movie because some years ago I had to investigate this case in the course of ethics for engineers. I was really excited about the idea of going to see it when I saw the trailer in the cinema.
This movie was directed and produced by Clint Eastwood and Tom Hanks is the protagonist of the movie as the pilot Chesley Sullenberger. Tom Hanks has appeared in many famous films like the films of the saga of The Da Vinci Code.
I think when I saw this movie I recommend this film because it is a recreation of an important milestone in history. I would see this film in cinema at the IMAX theater.

ReplyDeleteThe movie is based on the real disaster that happened in 2010 on a drilling rig of oil located in Mexico. The protagonist is Mike Williams, who is a normal person who works away from home, to send money to home. Because of this Mike can not often see his family and it can be done only via the Internet. Also, Mike does not know that surprisingly he will be related to a big explosion and with it a stressful situation, where his life will depend on take decisions quickly and correctly.
I have not seen this movie, however, I would choose this for two reasons. In first place, because I am interested in the disaster that happened on the drilling rig and all the environmental impacts related to the explosion and oil spill. Also, I am very excited to see this movie because I like movies of the genre of survival and action.
The movie was directed by Peter Berg and the main actor is Mark Wahlberg, who also had an excellent performance in the movie TED.
I am sure this film will have a excelent visual effects and I recommend go the cinema to see it.!

For this is reazon, the boy decides to follow the tracks of his grandfather, travels to Gales, where located to Emma Bloom.This girl can control the air and float. Emma introduces you to miss the Peregrine and the other children extraordinary.
I just saw the trailler of movie, but I like the movies based on novels. I want to see it, since Tim Burton in one of my favorite directors, its movies have never disappointed me.As for the cast of actors, I agree. I don't know to many, but I feel this film is a good opportunity to show their talent.
I recommend that can see this film at the cinema. It is always comfortable and the sound is better. It is a good opportunity to go out with friends and family.
Jack Reacher: Never go Back

Jack Reacker is a retired military police who is returning to the headquarters of his old military unit to meet Major Susan Turner who has been working with him on solving cases, but Turner is accused of espionage, this guide the events of the movie.
I am exited to see this movie because I really like movies in which the protagonist is alone against many enemies and overcome them using force or intellect, specially if they are spies or soldiers.
The film stars Tom Cruise, a great actor who has already participated in the first installment of this film and the saga of Mission Impossible, which has a similar theme. I think the actor is well chosen, because he does naturally.
I would recommend this film because it is goes fast and doesn’t cause boredom, may be not provide a profound message, but it is a good choice to go see to the cinema for the fights and special effects.
I chose 'The Girl on the Train'. It's a novel-based movie that tells about a divorced woman, that gets entangled in a missing person investigation, as she tries to unveil the mystery that unfolds.
ReplyDeleteI chose it because there wasn't a better option honestly, It isn't my type of movie, but, mystery and intrigue are things I like movies, so it isn't that bad after all.
I have seen movies starring Emily Blunt before, there's one in particular that I liked, it's called 'The Adjustment Bureau', where she co-starred with Matt Damon, I like her acting, and the rest of the cast is well-selected as well.
With that said, I think I would wait until it's up on the internet because it isn't like I feel an urge to watch this movie, also I like to watch movies in my bedroom because it's comfier, unless it's a special effects focused movie that requires a huge screen and a good surround system, in which case I prefer to go to the cinema.
The Room is a movie about a girl that was deceived by an old man when she was 17 to help his sick dog. He kidnapped her and keep retained in shed under a door blocked with a secret number. While she was trapped she gave to birth a child that now is 5 five years old and is her best chance to escape.
ReplyDeleteIn the climax of the movie the boy called frank played dead to force the kidnapper to take him out from there and the plan is to jump off the truck and ask for help.
I saw this movie by mistake, on a website I saw a post about a hilarious movie called The Room. And when I tried to find it on youtube I clicked on one that says that was the full movie. When I realized that I was watching the wrong movie it was too late because the film was so interesting that I couldn´t stop seeing it.
This is an Canadian-Irish film that had a limited premiere but had successful incomes. It had its debut on 2015 and has received numerous awards and 4 Oscar´s nominations.
I definitely recommend this movie because it make you think about a real problem in a different way and to understand how fragile and innocent could be the understanding of the world of someone that has a limited experience of the world.

ReplyDeleteThis movie of tim burton its a science fiction film about Jake a teenager who have an ordinary life and that have always been trying to take part of the society ( because he feels that he doesnt fix in). Everything change when he start to realize that all the things that his grandfather told him about a place that he have visited when he was young and that was surrounded by people with special powers actually really exists. This place is the home of miss peregrine and its the perfect place for peculiar childs (its like a school for kids that have special powers )
I think that is a great movie and completly meet my expectations specially because i was really not interested. In fact the movie had very good reception from the critics and that was the only reason I chose this film over the other available.
About the repart i think that this movie dont have the great number of famous actors like the other movies of Burton, but its a great opportunity for all of them to show their talent and i really think that all the actors did a great job in this ocassion.
Finally i definitely recommend this movie because it make you travel into a world full of magic and adventure and it also have great special effects to enjoy in the cinema.

ReplyDeleteI haven’t seen this movie but I think that it has to be really good because in one side is the tremendous cast, especially Tom Cruise of mission impossible, and in the other side this cast is really good for the thematic of this movie. Tom has been acting in action movies since he started in the industry.
This movie is about an investigator, Tom Cruise, who is pursuing a rebel army officer accused of treason. Suspecting a foul play he is trying to prove that the head of his unit is innocent. After a few encounters with the law, Jack (the investigator) has to uncover the truth of one of the biggest government conspiracies of USA.
I’m really excited with this movie because it’s seems really fast-paced movie who will get my really griped of the plot. And it will have a lot og action in it. I think that is a really good movie to pass the time in home.
The cast as I had said before is really competent with the gender of the movie,Action. Tom cruise have a lot of movies in this line like minority report and vainilla sky. And Cobie Smulders is a really good actress and it have been in action shows like the avengers and SHIELD agents.
I think that this movie is a home film, and is not whorty of spending money on it in the cinema. But I thinks is a really good movie for spending the time.
